Overview

The mechanics primary responsibility is to repair equipment. This is done by inspecting the piece of equipment and identifying the repair issue and replacing the needed parts. They may also contact the vendor and/or the customer for information. They are also responsible for entering the needed parts on the computer system and entering solution notes upon completing the repair. Once the repair is completed the repaired item is tested.

Overview:

The objective of this position is to drive revenue and profit through the sale of New Tools, Rental, Rigging, Repair, Crane and Hoist and Special Programs. The primary method of communicating with customers is in person and by telephone. This is true whether the communications starts with an inbound inquiry or whether the call is outbound for prospecting and cold calling. The major components of this position are:

Job Requirements:

  1. Account Development/Maintenance:
    • Systematically prospects for new accounts,
    • Supports and expands business with existing accounts,
    • Negotiates price and terms within the context of company policy,
    • Maintains product knowledge of existing and new products and product lines
    • Maintains working knowledge of Total Tools computer systems and programs
    • Responds to customer concerns in a timely manner,
    • Gathers appropriate information for generation of accurate quotes.
  2. Relationship Development:
    • Build strong business and personal relationships with your customers,
    • Develop relationships from the top of the organizational chart to the bottom
  3. Time Management and Planning:
    • Develop and implement a Sales Territory Plan,
    • Develop and implement a sales plan for each of your key accounts,
    • Manages contacts, tasks and schedule per company requirements.
  4. Communication:
    • Reports to their manager on sales goals and business development plan in accordance with company policies and systems,
    • Gathers and forwards information on competitors,
    • Keeps manager informed of both positive developments and challenges/opportunities within their customer base,
    • Maintains positive relationships with all Total Tool support departments
